Principal

Robert Lipschutz — Rob has served in a variety of leadership and technology positions as technical director of networking at PC Magazine, director of technology at Viant, CTO and founder at Meca Communications, and president and CTO of Thing 7. Rob was in charge of all networking testing at PC Magazine between 1992 and 1996. As a consultant, his clients have included Kinko's (Kinko's.com, Kinko's Extranet), Bank of America, JP Morgan, Microsoft, Compaq, Radio Shack and numerous high-tech networking and software companies. Rob has participated as technology lead in both Web-based and Windows application product development.

Rob is an expert at evaluating technology products for enterprise audiences. He has spent 16 years understanding, evaluating, writing about, and applying Internet, networking and enterprise software products and technologies. Rob has in-depth project experience with Web filtering technologies, spyware, and security products. He has worked with software vendors in many capacities and has numerous published reviews on these topics.
